Such a fun app-then I updated and it wont open on my ipad. Please fix.

I have an iPhone 4 and this update killed my app. If you go to the support page, it says not to update. Cant do anything about that at this point. I hope the developers fix this. This apps is the original reason I got hooked on Rick Steves and his books.

Yay, u guys updated the app, no longer crashes with older iOS versions. Great app in general.

Love it! Its convenience and full with great information and educational listening! But it would be much better if you could listen to all tracks continuously without going back to the app and hit play again and again. It would make a big difference, especially for those good short informational tracks.

No problem with the new update. Its a great app – love it. Going to Italy next year. Its very helpful

Ive downloaded it on all of my familys phones and a test run in advance of our trip has me very excited to use the Paris tours!

Ive used this app in London and currently in Venice, Florence and Rome. It really gives fabulous context so you know what youre looking at. Wont ever travel without it again!

We used the audio tours for museums and ruins. Once we got the hang of it, it was great. Sometimes wed get a bit lost on what he was talking about. The Uffizi must have rearranged the pieces since he recorded, but the pics helped.

Picture this. Late night in Prague, the internet speed has only one dot if Im lucky. All I want to do is to download Rick Steves audio tour for tomorrow so Im all set to explore Prague with the new City Tour track. The download bar, after 5-7 minutes finally finishes downloading the 75min file and as soon as it hits 100% download, the APP crashes and the download is gone!!! I refuse to believe it happened, the internet must have dropped so I tried it three more times and it crashes again and again and again!! Im able to write this review without any internet connectivity issue so it must be the APP. The APP is well designed and really user friendly and organize well, but why does this new track crash the APP. Pls fix this problem...

Leave all those purchases of audio guides at the door. This app is amazing. I did his London & Rome and am 1,000 % satisfied. The guides are so easy and you feel so alone at popular sites with 100s of other people. This is a MUST.

Its rare to find an app that has amazingly great content AND is really well designed AND is free. Most apps are somehow poorly designed... its too difficult to find what you want, it doesnt keep track of where you left off, etc. But this one does everything right. Nice!

We recently used this app on a trip to Italy and last year in Paris and it was great! I loved the audio tours of basillica’s, museums and city sites. It really added to the experience to learn while we were floating down the grand canal in Venice or looking at art in the Lourve. It’s also a bonus to not have to pay for the audio tours in each place. Thanks Rick Steves for making quality, informative and accessible apps!

My wife and I used nearly 20 different guides from this app during our trip to London, Rome, Venice, and Paris. It is so nice to learn about the history of a sight as youre walking through/around it and Rick does a great job. We could definitely do without the corny jokes though. Using this app also saves a lot of money that you would otherwise have to spend buying audioguides at sights. Id highly recommend this app to anyone headed to Europe.

We used this app in London and Paris. I downloaded everything we thought we might use before we went so we werent dependent on wi-fi. We especially liked the Louvre tour. It made it much more interesting and less overwhelming. My kids ages 16 and 10 loved the audio tours too. We like the jokes and the interesting tidbits of information. If something else caught our eye, we just hit pause and stopped. Great app! A nice compliment to the excellent guidebooks.

Best travel audio tour apps. Works great and well informed.

My girlfriend and I (27 & 31 years old, respectively) planned a fast trip across major cities in Western Europe: London, Paris, & Rome. All I can say is that when we got one of those 5€ audio guides at any of the sites, it was terrible (with the exception of Villa Borgese in Rome). Instead, we put on Rick Steves and shared a headphone. Entertaining, informative, and concise. We loved it. I want more. Only criticism is that theres no 1.5x speed option. 2x can get a tad fast and 1x seems too slow when youre doing a bunch of these.

I downloaded this thinking Id be able to get ebooks through the useless app at a price comparable to what Id pay for the books on Kindle, using the Kindle app, but they cost far, far more with many more restrictions. Dont waste your money if youve already wasted your time.

I absolutely love this app. I have told many friends and strangers about this app. I have used many of the walking tours and I love the way Rick approaches the tour. I have done the Salzburg, Munich, Berlin, Venice, Vienna, and Prague tours. I hope you add more walking tours cause they are the best! I

We are busy working parents and did not do a lot of advanced research. Had I not had this app, I would been completely lost in the Louvre. It took me an hour to find the entrance as it was. But once I turned on Ricks audio tour, I could relax knowing Id see the pieces that were important to see without getting lost. His explanations of the art were thorough lighthearted and engaging. I am so grateful for this app! The app worked perfectly. No problems whatsoever. Im still listening to some tracks months later.

The information in the audio while you are at a site are good.However, in between monuments on his walk the directions are sparce at best. As an example on his Paris Historic Walk as you exit the Notre Dame cathedral into the light of day make a slow u-turn left and then he starts taking you through the entrance to the Paris Deportation monument, but his book says walk to the back of the church, through an iron gate and across a street! I didnt take the book out because I was following the audio. We couldnt find it and were pretty frustrated. Take the book with you. This is 1 of about 4 examples yesterday where the directions were not accurate.
